This editorial speaks not of one man or being, but of all of us.
All... of... us.
The time is now.
The call is collective.
The pen is waiting.
When a man - when a real man - chooses justice over immorality and speaks for a unified constituency, he carries the values of hundreds. He outshines those who tear down the individual to feel righteous in their indignation, veiled in authoritarian dogma. His strength is rooted not in domination but in his convictions. Through those convictions, he becomes a defender against the machinery of dehumanization.
When the law is twisted by those entrusted to uphold it, bastardised to serve their own ambitions, that one man stands as the embodiment of the true law. He becomes its guardian, even as it is butchered for the benefit of the unrighteous few.
To protect the vulnerable, the marginalized, the preyed upon, he'll risk his own safety. He raises his voice as the clarion of decency against tyranny. Of honesty over fallacy. Of right over wrong.
Not to take credit or power, but because of selflessness. Of seeing injustice and demanding it cease. Of knowing history is recording the atrocities and writing their epitaph in real time. Being the one holding the unifying pen, not the one wielding the partisan sword.
Shining the light into the shadows and lair of the beast is that man's destiny. A journey he never knew he was on until it became obvious. One he cannot walk away from. So he stands as a sentinel. He stands as hope. He stands as he must. This is why he was led here.
With whom do you stand?

Mental illness cannot be diagnosed until the sufferer opens their mouth.
We are at a time that requires us to acknowledge that the current President of the United States; those who cover-up, misdirect, collude, finance, influence, support, defend and blindly follow without question have demonstrated significant “altered realities” that indicate an undiagnosed, clinical form of mental illness.
Don't try to reason with a disturbed person, they need professional help but will never seek it because their delusion prevents them from such understanding.
Those who are afflicted do make things more challenging for those who are not. They attempt to turn every discussion towards them, even if that conversation was never inclusive of their involvement.
Alzheimer’s sufferers often exhibit paranoia as one of the symptoms of this recognized, debilitating illness. These once intelligent, lucid people become mired in the haze of forgetfulness and blurred realities.
This same analysis can be applied to those individuals who get caught up in rhetoric and misdirection.
Clearly, a mental state compromised by years of living in a “gray” reality, where the only wrong is “getting caught”, which makes for an ideal indoctrination into the realm of mental illness.
This is only one of the many triggers that could be at the core of the sufferer. Others include but are not limited to; mental and physical abuse, learned behaviors of intolerance and superiority, megalomania and many other documented maladies, instilled by familial or authority figures, environmental factors and other significant stimuli.
These poor souls are so out of touch with reality that they are consistently attempting to manipulate the situation to their advantage by claiming everything and everyone is wrong or lying and only they are to be believed in their tirade of self-righteous indignation.
Don’t give into their tormented psyches and don’t waste your breath trying to convince them of the obvious truth either.
Rather, ignore their screams, do not give justification to their rants, marginalize them at every turn, and restrict their interactions until they are shouting to the wind alone, exposing that ghastly visage of their plagued existence to nothing but ether.
Should the sufferer acknowledge the need for help in managing their illness, embrace them and provide for assistance in their recovery.
Once we are able to consistently perform these practices will we be able to re- embrace that which we know to be true and, as Americans, act upon those freedoms we hold dear; the freedom of speech and expression, the freedom to worship God in your own way, the freedom from want, and the freedom from fear because freedom isn’t free, it must be fought for.
The battle is raging and reality is staring you in the face. Do you recognize it?
